One of the basic goals of the CDM is to develop a network of contacts with other European educational institutions.

Among the achievements:

• In 2002 a group of english disabled children of the "Saint Giles School" came to Rome to meet a class of the middle school "Fucini". This intercultural project culminated in a performance of the two groups

• Recently the CDM choir "Coro Raro" has made a fourth exchange with "Choriosa", a choir from Berlin

• In the last few years some adolescent groups of the CDM have performed at international meetings on music education

• Beginning in 2002 the CDM has regularly invited internationally recognized teachers to give courses on elemental music and dance education. The main connection is with the Orff-Institute, University "Mozarteum", Austria, and, more generally, with the Orff-Schulwerk circle

• The teacher trainers of the CDM have been invited to present or teach at workshops, courses, conferences and symposia all over the world: Austria, Germany, Spain, Finland, France, United Kingdom, Lebanon, Russia, Ireland, South-Corea, Czech Republic, China, Switzerland, Taiwan, Iran

• The CDM has offered the possibility of an apprenticeship to some students coming from european universities and interested in the educational research done with children (Orff-Institute, Hochschule Hannover).

• CDM is getting in further contact with other european teachers, researchers and educational institutions.

 

Prospects of collaboration with CDM

The CDM is willing to:

• Organize in Rome and Italy exchanges with groups of children/adolescents/adults coming from other countries.

• Organize exchanges with teachers/researchers of other european educational institutions.

• Offer apprenticeship to students coming from other european educational institutions.

• Organize international teacher training courses on the Orff-Schulwerk Approach in Rome and in Italy.

• Collaborate with other foreign institutions for the organization of international teacher training courses abroad.
