Valentina Iadeluca has studied singing with different
teachers, passing through several kinds and styles of music. She defines
herself as an interpreter of modern music and a jazz singer.
In 1993 she graduates in Ancient (Greek and Latin) Literature at “La
Sapienza” University of Rome.
In 2000 she takes a Master in Cultural Management and Communication at
LUISS Management University of Rome.
Her direct relation with Elemental Music and Dance
education begins in 1997, when she attends the Summer Course at the Orff-Insitute,
“Mozarteum” University of Salzburg, Austria. Later on she
attends in Rome a course on Methodology and Practice of the Orff-Schulwerk
directed by Giovanni Piazza.
She attends furthermore many seminars held by teachers from the Orff-Institute,
“Mozarteum” University of Salzburg, Austria, on several areas
concerning the Orff approach.
Since 1996 she teaches in many different nursery
and primary schools of Rome.
She is a music teacher at CDM – Centro Didattico Musicale of Rome
(singing, girls’ choir, creative movement and singing for 6 to 8
years old children, children groups from 3 to 6 years old). All the activities
are based on Orff-Schulwerk principles integrating E.Gordon’s Music
Learning Theory.
Over the years she has acquired a wide experience
as a manager and organizer, projecting and coordinating complex educational
services:
- On behalf of the Commune of Rome, she is author
and responsible for the project “Children in the Centre”,
a system of educational services in music and play area.
- She is coordinator of the activities of CDM –
Centro Didattico Musicale.
- Since 2002 together with Andrea Sangiorgio she
is deviser and organizing responsible for a one-year training course
for music teachers in kindergartens and primary schools entitled: “Elemental
Music and Dance Education according to the Orff approach” (200
hours).
She is very active as a music teachers trainer, mainly
on the subjects:
- 3-6 years old children: teaching music, playing
music.
- Voices in movement: teaching creative movement
and singing to primary school children.
- Music, Words, Imagery: interdisciplinary approaches
to music education beginning from reading picture books.
- Planning of music activities.
Beyond numerous courses in Rome and in Italy (Salerno,
Trento, Verona, Avellino, Napoli, Cosenza, Mantova and others) she has
recently gained experience also as an international expert, teaching in
China (Shenzhen, Shou Zou, Chang Du, Chang Mai), in the U.K. (Exeter,
Nottingham, London, Retford) and in Switzerland.
In July 2006 she was one of the teachers of the International Summer Course
at the Orff-Institute, Salzburg, for the subject "The whole voice".
