Workshop "Models of an Orff approach
integrating Edwin Gordon’s Music Learning Theory"

The goal of the workshop was to show some possibilities to integrate the cognitive approach of E.Gordon's Music Learning Theory within the pedagogical concept of the Orff-Schulwerk.
Basics: speech, music and movement as a unit - Thinking music, producing music: focus on the creative musical mind - Enhancing audiation through using tonal and rhythm patterns in coordination with dancing, singing, chanting and playing – Music instruments as an extension of the inner audiation instrument – From experience to knowledge: developmental stages of cognitive skills and music literacy - Aside and beyond cognitive processes in music learning: emotion, motivation, interpersonal relationships, integration with other arts

The workshop has been illustrated in the book "In Dialogue" about the Symposium published by Schott.
